Jack Robinson finished his breakfast at eight o"clock in the morning, as usual. He was supposed to be at the hospital at nine so he had plenty of time. It usually took him forty minutes to get to the ward. But this time it might be a bit more complicated. The first thing that he had noticed when he had woken up in the morning was the darkness outside. Yes, it was an exceptionally gloomy day. What"s more, the visibility was close to null because of heavy snowfalls. That was strange, really. Only two days before, he had been playing with his kids in the garden. They had been throwing autumn eaves and riding bikes in the park. It had crossed Jack"s mind that he should buy winter cheap tyres as soon as possible, but he had decided to put it off. After all, it had not looked like winter would come soon. But it did. Jack got into his car and tried to start it. It wasn"t easy, of course, in this cold weather, but having tried several times, the car finally started. Then he moved on, turned right, left the drive and entered the main road. It was slippery, and all cars in front of him were moving extremely slowly. He regretted not having ordered the cheap tyres that his wife had shown him on the internet.
